About Dr. Brad
Dr. Brad believes in the power of the breath to restore health and balance. As a naturopathic physician in private practice and professor and clinical faculty at Bastyr University for over 25 years, Dr. Lichtenstein has a strong clinical and teaching focus on developing psycho-emotional-spiritual health while dealing with chronic, life-challenging illnesses and trauma.
Dr. Brad has been fascinated by the dynamic healing power of the breath since his mother took him to his first yoga class in the basement of his synagogue in McKeesport PA when he was a mere lad of 7. Over the years he has studied breathwork from numerous traditions - from pranayama to mindfulness breath meditation, from Continuum and Holotropic Breathwork, from Conscious Breathing to Rebreathing, and more. His approach to breathing combines his formal training and education as a naturopathic physician as well as a biofeedback and HRV (heart rate variability) practitioners, as well as his experience of facilitating over 500 bedside hospice guided meditation, and seeing first hand the transformational power of mindfulness, meditation and the breath.
